Job Description

Hiring for Data Engineer

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience with IT development and/or operations domains with 3 years of cloud development / operations in AWS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts and technologies to diverse audiences.
Great attitude with Teamwork, Commitment and Accountability
Have a working knowledge of various data ingestions tools like SAP CPI/ SLT/PO, SAP BW and Teradata that interact with either cloud-based architecture or On Prem Data Bases
Working knowledge of data governance concepts, tools and processes supporting a complex organizational environment.
Thorough understanding of Data base concepts in order to build and maintain robust architecture that is highly available, operationally scalable and fault tolerant systems.
Must have working knowledge of common data engineering technologies like Apache Spark, Python, SQL, etc.
Experience with State machines/Step Functions for building and maintaining complex Orchestrations in AWS.
Experience in AWS Redshift, Glue, Aurora, Athena and Kinesis

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with cloud data technologies such as Databricks, DynamoDB, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Synapse, etc.
Experience with Service Oriented and Event Driven Architectures (SOA, EDA)
Preferred to have any Cloud based certifications.
Exposure to other cloud data platforms like Azure or GCP
2+ years of Lean / Agile project delivery experience.

Experience or basic knowledge of Identity and Access Management
