Data Architect/Lead

You are a highly skilled Data Architect/Lead with expertise in Azure Data Systems, and you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data solutions using Azure data services. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and play a key role in shaping the data architecture strategy of the team. Your key responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing scalable and robust data architectures using Azure data services like Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture designs and technical specifications. Additionally, you will evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure data services and technologies based on business needs, performance requirements, and scalability considerations. As a Data Architect/Lead, you will be responsible for developing data models, schemas, and data integration strategies to support business analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You will design and implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into Azure data platforms. Furthermore, you will optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency. In this role, you will define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and other team members, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration. It is essential to stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics and assess their potential impact on the data architecture strategy. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree. You should have several years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles. Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure data services is required. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies like Azure SQL Database, SQL Server, or similar is essential. Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques is necessary. A solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data governance principles is expected. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks is considered a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, as you will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect are highly desirable for this role.,
