Job Description

Job Summary: Wissen Technology is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and manage AWS-based enterprise data platforms . This role involves architecting scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics, and implementing governance frameworks that support strategic business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS services, data lakehouse architectures, and data governance frameworks.

Experience: 8 - 1 5 years

Location: Bangalore

Mode of Work : Full time -hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement AWS Data Lake architectures using services such as S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift Spectrum, and Sprinkle Data.

Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to support both batch and real-time data ingestion.

Define and manage Silver/Gold layer transformations in the data lakehouse architecture.

Ensure data governance, lineage, and security compliance with modern frameworks and best practices.

Collaborate with BI teams to enable efficient reporting and analytics in Power BI.

Provide architectural guidance, mentor data engineers, and support onboarding of new data sources.

Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

Requirements:

8-15 years of experience in data architecture or data engineering.

Strong expertise in AWS services: S3, Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift Spectrum.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data transformations.

Strong knowledge of data lakehouse architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).

Hands-on experience with data governance and lineage tools (e.g., Sprinkle or similar).

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Good to have skills:

AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification.

Prior experience in finance, consulting, or enterprise-scale analytics projects.

Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools.

Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and data security best practices.
