Data Annotation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data Annotation Specialist with 35 years of experience to support our machine learning and AI initiatives. You will be responsible for accurately labeling and annotating datasets, ensuring high-quality input for training models across computer vision, NLP, and speech recognition domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Annotate diverse datasets including images, text, audio, and video using internal tools and platforms.
• Review and validate annotations for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to refine annotation strategies and improve model performance.
• Develop and maintain annotation guidelines and documentation for new projects.
• Perform quality assurance on labeled data and provide feedback to junior annotators.
• Identify edge cases and ambiguities in data and escalate to relevant teams.
• Train and mentor junior annotators as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data annotation or data labeling roles.
• Proficiency with annotation tools like Labelbox, CVAT, Prodigy, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and how annotated data impacts model training.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines.
• Familiarity with Python or scripting for automation is a plus.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets in domains like NLP, computer vision, or speech.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Certifications in AI/ML or data annotation tools are a plus.
