Job Description

You will be responsible for analyzing healthcare data in the U.S. healthcare industry to ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, support population health initiatives, claims analysis, and operational efficiency. Your role as a Healthcare Data Analyst will involve analyzing clinical, claims, and operational data to uncover insights that improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance healthcare delivery. You should have experience working with healthcare datasets and a strong understanding of healthcare systems, compliance requirements, and performance metrics. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing claims, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and clinical data to identify trends and patterns, developing and maintaining dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, supporting population health initiatives by providing data-driven insights, partnering with stakeholders to define requirements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, conducting ad hoc analyses, and monitoring data quality. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. Proficiency in SQL for querying large healthcare datasets is required, along with experience working with medicalclaims, EHR/EMR systems, and data visualization tools. Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data security best practices is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, familiarity with risk adjustment models, predictive analytics, value-based care reporting, and healthcare interoperability standards. A Master's degree in Health Informatics, Public Health, or a related field is a plus. Soft skills such as strong analytical thinking, effective communication, ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams, and being detail-oriented with strong organizational skills are important for this role.
