Description
As a Data & System Architect at Cisco, you will be an integral part of our innovative team that leverages cutting-edge technology to create impactful solutions. Your role will involve designing and developing advanced data and system architecture to meet the evolving business needs of Cisco. You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals in industries such as healthcare, education, and retail to deliver transformative results. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing data and system architecture, including data models, database designs, and ETL processes to align with business requirements. - Providing technical leadership and guidance to the data and analytics team. - Collaborating with various stakeholders such as business analysts, data scientists, and data analysts to understand data needs and implement systemic solutions. - Ensuring seamless integration and interoperability of systems with existing infrastructure and third-party applications. - Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to optimize system speed, scalability, and reliability. - Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of system architecture, design decisions, and technical standards. - Evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance system performance and security. - Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices. - Mentoring and supporting junior architects and team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - At least 7 years of experience in system architecture, design, and development, with expertise in the supply chain domain. - Proficiency in SQL, database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), data warehousing, ETL tools, and data modeling tools. - Programming skills in Python and R Shiny. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing complex projects. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with big data technologies. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. - Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools. - Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. - Relevant certifications like TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
