Dance Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Teacher to join our school’s performing arts department. The ideal candidate should be versatile in multiple dance forms—Freestyle, Bharatanatyam, Folk, and Western—and capable of creating engaging lessons for students of varying skill levels. The role requires both teaching and choreographing for school events, competitions, and cultural programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and deliver dance lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and extracurricular goals.
• Teach and train students in various dance styles including Freestyle, Bharatanatyam, Folk, Western, and Fusion.
• Encourage creativity, discipline, and self-expression through dance.
• Develop choreography suitable for different age groups and school events.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment in the dance studio.
• Collaborate with other faculty for integrated arts programs and school productions.
• Continuously upgrade knowledge of dance forms, teaching methodologies, and trends in performing arts.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Applied Dance, Creative Arts, or Fine Arts with a major in Dance, Dance Performance, or related field.
• Certifications (preferred):
• Relevant certification in Dance Teaching, Bharatanatyam, Western/Folk Dance, or Fusion Dance forms.
• Experience:
• Prior teaching experience in schools, academies, or institutions is desirable.
• Fresh graduates with strong performance background and passion for teaching may also apply.

Skills:

• Strong command over multiple dance forms.
• Ability to choreograph creative and age-appropriate performances.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Enthusiasm to mentor and inspire students.
