Job Title: Design & Estimation Engineer – MEP (Firefighting & Plumbing Services) Department: Engineering & Projects Location: Panchkula / Gurugram / Project Site (as per business requirement) Reporting To: Head – Design & Estimation / Project Manager About Damia Global Services Pvt. Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design & Estimation Engineer (MEP) specializing in Firefighting and Plumbing Systems . The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed system designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and technical documentation, ensuring full compliance with relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities:Design Responsibilities: Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, and schematics for Firefighting and Plumbing systems using AutoCAD or Revit. Conduct hydraulic calculations and system design for Sprinkler, Hydrant, and Fire Suppression systems. Design plumbing systems including domestic water, drainage, and vent lines as per project and regulatory requirements. Ensure all designs comply with NBC, NFPA, IS, and Local Authority Standards. Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and structural teams for integrated MEP layouts. Prepare as-built drawings, revisions, and documentation during execution stages. Estimation Responsibilities: Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) , material take-offs, and detailed cost estimates for firefighting and plumbing works. Study tender drawings and documents to understand the scope of work and identify deviations or technical requirements. Collect material rates and vendor quotations to prepare rate analysis and cost breakdowns. Support procurement teams in material selection and technical evaluations. Prepare technical and commercial bids for tenders and assist in client presentations. Coordination & Support: Provide design and technical support during project execution. Conduct site visits for technical validation and design implementation checks. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities for design reviews and approvals. Required Skills & Competencies: Strong technical knowledge of Firefighting & Plumbing Systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Good understanding of tendering, estimation, and EPC project workflows. Familiarity with standards such as NFPA, NBC, IS Codes, and CPHEEO manuals. Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills. Qualification & Experience: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience in design and estimation for firefighting and plumbing works with an EPC/MEP firm. Experience in government and institutional projects will be an added advantage. Personal Attributes: Strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
