Job Purpose Reporting directly to the Director, the Manager will be a hands-on leader who not only oversees but actively participates in the preparation, review, and delivery of client work. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent review skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while maintaining exceptional quality standards.This is not a pure review role we are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves, manage files end-to-end, and set the bar for accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for clients across industries and structures. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reports. Oversee preparation and lodgement of activity statements (BAS). Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting, taxation, and regulatory requirements. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management Liaise with ATO, ASIC, auditors, and client advisers on behalf of clients. Assist clients with payroll and bookkeeping matters, providing practical solutions. Support in drafting proposals, advisory papers, and audit deliverables. Team Leadership Quality Control Supervise, delegate, and provide guidance to junior team members. Review team outputs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards. Proactively maintain quality control across all deliverables. Manage personal workflow to achieve KPIs, budgets, and billable hours targets. Audit & Assurance Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits. Assist in execution statutory audits, review engagements, and audit readiness support for clients. Advisory & Projects Contribute to corporate structuring, technical accounting papers, and CFO advisory assignments. Collaborate with Directors on special projects and strategic initiatives. Requirements: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory. Minimum of 7-12 years of professional experience in accounting and audit. Prior experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm in India (applications without this background will not be considered). Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance, and audit procedures. Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and management reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Hands-on attitude with willingness to get involved in detailed client work. Desirable: Exposure to Australian accounting and tax standards.
