As a part of Strand Life Sciences, you will be contributing to the cutting-edge Genomics field with a global impact on human health. Your role will involve performing and overseeing karyotyping and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analysis on various samples, including Peripheral blood, prenatal, and haematological malignancy samples. It will be crucial for you to accurately analyze, interpret, and report cytogenetic findings using ISCN Nomenclature while developing, validating, and implementing new cytogenetic techniques. You will be responsible for ensuring timely processing and reporting of cytogenetic tests, maintaining defined turnaround times (TAT). Additionally, you will play a key role in preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs), validation reports, and relevant documents as necessary. Utilizing LIMS for sample tracking and workflow integration will be essential to streamline processes effectively. In this role, you will also be accountable for the proper handling, maintenance, and care of laboratory instruments, including routine checks and troubleshooting. Managing inventory to ensure the availability of reagents, consumables, and critical supplies will be part of your responsibilities. It will be important to document assay failures, delays, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives comprehensively while proactively communicating any process delays or failures with stakeholders. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance laboratory operations and troubleshoot issues will be a significant aspect of your work. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as CAP/CLIA, NABL, and other relevant quality assurance guidelines will be crucial.
