Job Description

Setting up, operating, and maintaining cylindrical grinding machines to shape metal parts, ensuring precise dimensions and tolerances according to blueprints and quality standards. · Setting up and operating grinding machines: This includes loading workpieces, adjusting feed rates, speeds, and depth of cuts. · Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings: Understanding specifications, dimensions, and tolerances. · Selecting grinding wheels and tooling: Choosing the right abrasive and tooling for the material and desired finish. · Maintaining the grinding machine: Performing routine checks, dressing wheels, and replacing worn parts. · Inspecting finished products: Ensuring quality and accuracy according to industry standards. · Troubleshooting machine malfunctions: Identifying and resolving issues promptly. · Maintaining a clean and organized work environment: Adhering to safety protocols. Essential Skills: · Blueprint reading and interpretation: Understanding technical drawings and specifications. · Precision measurement: Using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and tolerances. · Machine operation: Proficiency in setting up and operating cylindrical grinding machines. · Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues during operation. · Attention to detail: Ensuring quality and accuracy in the finished product. · Knowledge of different grinding wheel types and their applications: Understanding abrasive characteristics and their effect on the workpiece.
