The Head of Applied & Research Technology - Industrial & Transportation (INT), Asia Pacific at Evonik India, located in Thane, will be responsible for overseeing all Application & Research Technology activities for the Market Segment Industrial & Transportation in the Asia Pacific region. This role involves efficient utilization and coordination of ART lab resources across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and India while ensuring strict adherence to EHSQ rules in all regional labs. Key responsibilities include managing all ART activities for the Industrial & Transportation Market Segment in Asia Pacific, collaborating with sales, SCM, PL, and RD&I functions to achieve business targets, identifying and realizing customer projects, establishing and maintaining crucial business contacts, providing technical support to global key accounts, and forming partnerships with regional accounts like Nippon Paint, Kansai Paint, and KCC. Additionally, participation in Global COEs activities, managing the ART team for innovation projects, leading regional innovation projects with RD&I, contributing to IP strategy for MS INT, developing talent within the ART team, ensuring presence in key technical conferences, and upholding EHSQ measures and compliance in all labs are essential aspects of the role. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of senior-level technical management experience with a focus on the coating industry, preferably holding a Master's or PhD degree in organic chemistry, polymer science, chemical engineering, or a related field. Strong communication skills, cultural inclusivity, proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and fluency in English are necessary requirements for this position.,
