Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your crash simulation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and structural integrity of our rail solutions. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including the Crash Solution operational cell leader, Train Architecture Manager, and Structural Integrity Domain Leader), build finite element crash models, analyze collision scenarios, and propose design improvements on crash devices and supporting structures.You'll specifically take care of building numerical models of rolling stock and performing crash simulations, but also calibrating models against test results and producing detailed reports.We'll look to you for:
- Building finite element crash models based on collected input data
- Executing, analyzing, and reporting or presenting simulation results
- Performing calibration of numerical models versus test results
- Proposing design improvements for crash devices and supporting structures
- Producing comprehensive crash simulation reports
- Reporting results and addressing issues effectively
All About You

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably applied to Railway products
- Significant experience (around 10 years) in railway or other relevant industries within the passive safety discipline
- General mechanical design and crash design expertise
- Knowledge of the railway field
- Proficiency in finite element modelling
- Understanding of materials engineering
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including with third parties (e.g., customers)
- Proven time management and reporting capabilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make informed decisions
- Customer and product-focused mindset
- Structured and organized with a hands-on approach
- Operational proficiency in English for reading, writing, and technical meetings
