Craft Designer & Merchandiser Metal Techniques

You will be leading the development of all metal components across collections at Kli, focusing on defining the metal craft language through artisan collaboration, design precision, and structured production. Your responsibilities will include designing various metal hardware, creating CADs and spec sheets, developing fabrication tools, defining standard processes, conducting quality checks, and collaborating with other teams for integration. - Design handles, clasps, trims, buckles, closures, and other hardware in brass and mixed metals - Create CADs, CorelDRAW layouts, spec sheets, and proportion guides for artisans and manufacturers - Develop cutting dies, wooden and metal moulds, jigs, and tooling for fabrication - Work with karigars across metalsmithing and jewelry making processes - Define and document standard processes for sampling, QC, and production handover - Conduct regular checks for finish, weight, alignment, and material integrity - Track changes, versions, costing, and workshop capacity - Maintain a materials and technique archive for internal reference - Collaborate closely with the leather and product teams for integration - Based in Jaipur - 5 to 10 years of experience in metal design, jewelry hardware, or product development - Proficient in brass craft techniques and modern tooling practices - Experienced in collaborating with artisan clusters and small workshops - Skilled in CAD, CorelDRAW, Illustrator, and Excel - Organized and able to implement structured processes and documentation - Curious about Indian metallurgical traditions, symbolism, and sacred geometry - Detail-oriented, practical, and able to manage timelines and quality independently,
