CPU Software Engineer Senior

As a CPU Software Architect at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be a part of the software CPU architecture group responsible for developing long-term software roadmaps and defining architecture specifications for a horizon of three to five years. Your role will involve engaging with software and hardware worldwide partners to influence product development and enabling the commercialization of CPUs integrated in Snapdragons chipsets for various markets such as Handsets, IOT devices, Automotive, Compute/Laptops, XR, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Optimize micro-code to enhance CPU performance - Design and develop firmware for idle and active CPU power management - Evaluate software/hardware design trade-offs for CPUs - Debug critical software issues related to high-performance CPU microarchitecture - Define short and long-term software architecture roadmap aligned with Arms architecture ISA evolution - Represent CPU SW teams in engagements with Arm architects and third-party software partners Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or PhD in relevant field - 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Around 4 years of experience in designing and developing software/firmware for embedded systems - Knowledge of Arm CPU architecture, especially ARMv8 architecture (RISC-V architecture expertise is a plus) - Familiarity with system specifications in ARM ecosystem (SCMI, PSCI, TF-A, etc) - Solid knowledge of embedded systems SW design - Familiarity with internals at kernel level of Linux or Windows, experience in device driver development is an added advantage - Effective problem-solving analytical skills, critical thinking skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you are an individual with a disability and need accommodation during the application/hiring process, Qualcomm is committed to providing accessible processes.
