COTS Developer

As a skilled professional in the IT industry, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Customise, configure, integrate, and support commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications for web, mobile, and desktop usage. - Ensure all applications meet accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0 / 2.1 Level A & AA, WAI-ARIA, Apple AA+ guidelines. - Perform accessibility audits and testing using assistive technologies like VoiceOver (Mac/iOS), JAWS, NVDA, ChromeVox. - Create and maintain Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) and documentation of accessibility compliance. - Write front-end code (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) with accessibility as a primary requirement; ensure cross-browser and assistive-device compatibility. - Work on mobile/desktop front-ends (native/hybrid) when necessary, ensuring accessible UI/UX. - Develop backend logic or integrations in Azure environment using Python, JavaScript/Node.js, C#, or other relevant languages. - Work with databases such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle Database; write SQL, optimise performance, and integrate with COTS solutions. - For financial/analytics applications, participate in configuration and support of Oracle Hyperion EPM / Oracle EPM systems and related data flows. - Act as a technical lead/senior analyst by guiding junior developers, reviewing code, overseeing application deployment, monitoring, and support. - Integrate COTS solutions with SharePoint, ASP.NET, Node.js frameworks as required. - Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best practices for enterprise applications. - Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, accessibility specialists, UX teams, QA, and DevOps to deliver inclusive and robust solutions.
