Key Responsibilities:

Analyze engineering drawings and specifications for cost estimation.
Apply
GD&T
knowledge for accurate assessment of manufacturing feasibility.
Create
part process plans
considering machining operations like
milling and turning
.
Estimate
run time
and
machine time
using software tools or manual calculations.
Perform
product cost estimation
for machined, electrical, and sheet metal parts.
Use or understand
costing software
or perform detailed
manual costing
.
Select appropriate
cutting tools
and understand their impact on process cost.
Evaluate
special processes
(heat treatment, plating, coating) and their contribution to final cost.
Work on
New Product Development (NPD)
, including
should costing
and
engineering BOM creation
.
Support procurement decisions by providing accurate and competitive cost breakdowns.
