Designation: Staff Nurse Post Operative Care The Post Operative Care Staff Nurse will be primarily responsible for patient care right from the admission process to the discharge. Role & responsibilities Completion of admission formalities and consent process upon patient arrival. Assisting the patients in pre operative preparations. Periodic documentation of post operative vital parameters. Ensuring administration of prescribed medication and food in a timely manner during the stay at the hospital. Discharge summary preparation. Assistance in plaster removal, suture removal and compression garment changing. Periodic Follow Up of operated patients progress over phone / mail. Meticulous documentation of Pre and Post Photographs for various cosmetic procedures. Taking feedback from clients upon discharge. The secondary duties will include : Regular updation of post op registers and non surgical records, wherever necessary. Substituting for scrub nurses occasionally. Assisting Laser Procedures and if required, Exilis and chemical peel procedures at times of heavy case loads. Training staff nurse for other newer units.
