Finance Executive bhubaneswar, orissa 1 - 3 years INR 1.2 - 1.74 Lacs P.A. Remote Full Time

Key Responsibilities : 1. GST & Taxation Compliance (Primary Focus - 50%) GST Filing: Independently manage and file monthly/quarterly GST returns ( GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B ) accurately and on time. Input Tax Credit (ITC): Perform meticulous reconciliation of ITC with GSTR-2A/2B data to maximize eligible credit and minimize discrepancies. TDS Compliance: Calculate, deduct, deposit, and file quarterly TDS returns ( Form 24Q, 26Q, etc. ) for salaries and vendor payments. Invoicing & Billing: Ensure all outward and inward invoices are GST-compliant and accurately recorded, including Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) applicability. 2. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping (30%) Bookkeeping: Maintain all books of accounts up to finalization using accounting software ( Tally Prime/Zoho Books ). Reconciliation: Daily/weekly reconciliation of bank statements, cash, debtors (accounts receivable), and creditors (accounts payable). Financial Reporting: Prepare preliminary monthly management reports (MIS), including basic Profit & Loss statements and cash flow summaries for the founders. 3. Payroll & Expense Management (20%) Payroll Processing: Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle, including calculating salaries, deductions (PF/ESI), generating pay slips, and processing bank transfers. Statutory Deductions: Ensure timely payment and filing for Professional Tax (PT), ESI, and PF returns and compliance (if applicable). ∙ Expense & Reimbursement: Review and process employee expense claims and vendor payment requests, ensuring all expenditures are documented with valid GST invoices for compliance. Qualifications and Skills Must-Have Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce ( B.Com ) is mandatory. Experience: 1-3 years of proven, hands-on experience handling the complete accounting cycle for an Indian private limited company or startup. GST Proficiency: Deep, practical knowledge of GST return filing and ITC reconciliation processes. Software Skills: Expert proficiency in Tally Prime (or Similar) and advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis and reconciliation. Good-to-Have Professional certification ( CA Inter , CMA, or GST Practitioner Certification). Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms (Zoho Books, QuickBooks). Prior experience in a technology or service-based startup environment.
