Controls Design Engineer

As a Controls Design Engineer (CDE) at our company, you will be responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge control systems for various industrial applications such as turbomachinery, gas compressors, pumps, and power generators. Your role will involve creating and maintaining electrical schematics, developing PLC/HMI systems, executing system upgrades, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring innovative industrial automation solutions to fruition. Your key responsibilities will include designing and maintaining electrical schematics, control panels, and automation systems, working with PLCs (specifically RSLogix 5000), HMI tools, and CAD packages (such as Promis-e CONNECT, AutoCAD, EPLAN), implementing upgrades, retrofits, and new product developments, as well as collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with various industry standards like ANSI, IEC, CEC, NEMA, and ISA. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 8-12 years of experience or a Master's degree with 5-8 years of experience. Your required skills should include a strong proficiency in PLC, CAD, and industrial automation, while any experience in Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Renewable Energy sectors would be a plus.
