Tasks and responsibilities Conduct audits on sheep farms under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) Assess compliance with animal welfare, land management, and social criteria Interact with farmers and farm staff to validate records and practices Document review & sampling Conducting audit follow-up Verification, evaluation and review of audit documents, assessments and non-conformities in accordance with the standards Preparing and submitting accurate and timely audit reports as per Textile Exchange protocols Determination of risks of processes and/or products specific for the assigned standard/ modules Finalizing assessment drafts and updating report in the system Organize, update and maintain operational data and files Liaison with auditors and certifiers to ensure complete assessments and NCs are submitted and processed to take correct certification decision Liaison with clients, when needed Maintaining good relation with the clients Assisting with handling of claims and appeals Participate in required trainings, shadow audits, and refresher programs Keeping upbreast of all the Certifications Programmes offered by the company as well as any market innovation Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to related industry sectors Extensive travel (up to 15-20 days in a month) across India Requirements Graduate in Veterinary Science/ Animal Husbandry/ Dairy Science or related field Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in livestock, dairy, sheep farming, or similar rural/agricultural backgrounds Hands-on exposure to mammalian livestock, preferably: Sheep (RWS) and pasture-based agriculture Good command of English in speech and in writing, knowledge of regional languages Proficiency with MS Office Excellent presentation skills Experience and knowledge of sustainability and/ or certification programs would be advantageous Logical reasoning, observation and analytical skills Good convincing, interpersonal and presentation skills Willingness to travel extensively in the rural part of the country Our Company From our roots in agricultural inspections, Control Union have been operating for over 100 years and by now are engaged in many fields including inspections, certifications, logistics, collateral management and risk management etc. Our in-depth knowledge and experience covers all aspects of the supply chain in many industries including agriculture, textile, energy, forestry and sustainability etc. Disclaimer: Please do not expect our team to respond if you do not meet the specified requirements.
