Job Description

As a Control Project Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in engineering and commissioning PLC/ASRS/Loopsorter systems and field wiring for material handling projects in various sectors such as Airports, Warehousing, and Parcel services. Your responsibilities will include on-site commissioning and collaborating with Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering teams, as well as other relevant stakeholders, to ensure the successful engineering and commissioning of material handling systems. In this role, you will be expected to provide timely and comprehensive site progress reports, support knowledge sharing initiatives, and contribute to process improvement activities. Your core tasks will involve utilizing your expertise in project engineering and commissioning, particularly with Siemens/Allen Bradley PLC systems, HMI, and SCADA systems. You should be proficient in interpreting electrical layouts and wiring diagrams, as well as possessing practical knowledge of electrical cabinets, field wiring, and I/O bus systems such as ASI, Profibus, Profinet, Fibre Optic, Can Bus, and Ethernet. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring hardware, Frequency drives, performing I/O tests on-site, conducting Cabinet FAT, SAT, ISAT tests, and supervising the installation of electrical components to ensure successful system commissioning. Your role will also involve working at heights, extensive travel (up to 80%), and collaborating in multicultural environments. To excel in this position, you should possess a solid understanding of electrical/electronic equipment, power and control systems, industrial automation with PLC, and field bus communication protocols. Soft skills such as excellent communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, a positive attitude towards learning, flexibility, proactivity, and self-motivation are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will hold a B.E. / B. Tech degree in Electricals, Electronics, or Instrumentation with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
