Content Writer and Editor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and skilled Junior Content Writer to join our marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual with 0-1 year of experience in content creation to kickstart their career in a vibrant and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

· Content Creation: Write clear, concise, engaging, and original content for a variety of platforms, including:

o Blog posts and articles

o Website copy (landing pages, service descriptions, about us, etc.)

o Social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, etc.)

o Email newsletters and marketing campaigns

o Basic press releases and company announcements

o Product descriptions

· Research: Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics, trends, and target audience needs to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and originality.

· SEO Basics: Assist in conducting basic keyword research and implement SEO best practices (e.g., keyword integration, meta descriptions, title tags) to optimize content for search engines and improve visibility.

· Editing & Proofreading: Meticulously proofread and edit your own work and, occasionally, content from other team members to ensure grammatical correctness, factual accuracy, consistency in style, and adherence to brand guidelines.

· Collaboration: Work closely with senior content writers, marketing specialists, designers, and other teams to understand content requirements, brainstorm ideas, and ensure content aligns with overall marketing strategies.

· Content Calendar: Contribute to the development and maintenance of content calendars.

· Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest content marketing trends, SEO updates, and industry news to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.

· 0-1 year of professional experience in content writing, copywriting, or a similar role (internships and relevant freelance work will be considered).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

· A strong portfolio or samples of published articles/content showcasing your writing style and versatility.

· Basic understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to content.

· Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress is a plus.

· Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize information effectively.

· Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Proactive, eager to learn, and open to feedback.

Bonus Points (Optional but good to include if relevant):

· Experience with specific content tools or platforms (e.g., Grammarly, SEMrush, Google Analytics).

· Knowledge of specific industries (e.g., Gifting industry E-commerce).
