Content Creator

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic, observant, and creatively driven individual to capture and communicate the everyday life of an MRIS school. This role is central to building the school's digital identity through meaningful storytelling from daily classroom moments and student achievements to events, initiatives, and brand-aligned campaigns.

The Content Creator will be responsible for creating high-quality reels, videos, photos, posts, and written copy that reflect the school's ethos, learners experiences, and MRIS brand values. The role involves close collaboration with academic teams, school leadership, and the central Media Shala content team to ensure that communication is timely, authentic, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Content Creation & Coverage:

• Capture day-to-day classroom activities, student work, interactions, and experiential learning moments.
• Cover school events, celebrations, academic showcases, sports activities, assemblies, and community engagements.
• Identify small yet powerful storytelling moments across the school day.

Content Production:

• Create high-quality short-form videos (reels), photo stories, carousels, and basic graphics.
• Write crisp, engaging captions aligned with the MRIS brand voice.
• Edit and package content for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Planning & Coordination:

• Maintain a content calendar aligned with the school's academic and events calendar.
• Work closely with teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to gather inputs and ensure coverage.
• Coordinate with the central Media Shala and MRIS teams for campaign-based requirements.

Brand Alignment & Quality Control:

• Ensure all content adheres to MRIS brand guidelines, tone, and communication standards.
• Maintain consistency in visual style, messaging, and storytelling across all posts.
• Uphold high quality in filming, photography, editing, and copy.

Analytics & Insights:

• Track performance of posts and reels to understand what resonates with the school community.
• Share regular updates and suggest content improvements based on insights.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 25 years of experience in content creation, social media management, photography, or videography (school/education sector experience is a plus).
• Strong creative instincts with the ability to spot stories in everyday moments.
• Proficiency in mobile videography, photography, and basic editing tools (CapCut, VN, Canva, Lightroom, etc.).
• Excellent written communication and caption-writing abilities.
• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple school departments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
• A genuine interest in education, children, and storytelling.
