Containerization Engineer

Your role: Are you an engineer looking to gain product exposure Are you excited by the prospect of driving and delivering change that will positively impact the way every developer in Group Technology works Would you seize an opportunity to develop and apply your entrepreneurial and leadership skills We are looking for a pragmatic self-starter to help us take our reference container images to the next step, as well as define and implement a Container Images Lifecycle process and tooling. Your responsibilities will be to: - Provide guidance for the application of container technology-related processes, tools, and supply-chain - Be a technical owner for the reference base container images and associated tooling - Be responsible for the implementation of a container images lifecycle and supporting services - Identify points of friction, gaps, and inefficiencies and add them to our backlog - Work across the organization, identify and engage with stakeholders to optimize processes and information flows - Use the social communication channels and be in touch with the broad technical community across the bank Your expertise: - Ideally 4+ years of experience as a hands-on software developer or dev-ops engineer - Good understanding of the underlying container technologies and use-cases - Communicate effectively in writing and in person - Public speaking and presentation skills are a plus - Experience with Azure and AKS is a big plus About us: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
