Job Description

As a Consultant in Performance Analytics at Mastercard, you will be part of the Advisors & Consulting Services group specializing in translating data into insights for our regional and global clients. Your role will involve leveraging both Mastercard and customer data to design, implement, and scale analytical solutions that unlock client value. By using qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques along with enterprise applications, you will synthesize analyses into clear recommendations and impactful narratives. In this position, you will have the opportunity to provide creative input on various projects across different industries, contributing to the development of analytics strategies and programs for clients. Collaborating with the Mastercard team, you will gain insights into clients" needs, agenda, and risks, building strong working relationships with client analysts/managers as a trusted partner. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with senior project delivery consultants to identify key findings, prepare effective presentations, and deliver recommendations to clients. Independently identifying trends, patterns, issues, and anomalies in your area of analysis, you will structure and synthesize your analysis to highlight relevant findings. Leading internal and client meetings, contributing to project management, and adding to the firm's intellectual capital will be essential aspects of your role. Additionally, you will receive mentorship from performance analytics leaders for your professional growth and development. To qualify for this role, you should have 2-4 years of overall career experience in Performance Analytics, along with an undergraduate degree and experience in data analytics such as business intelligence or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics. Proficiency in using data analytics software like Python, R, SQL, SAS, as well as advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. You should be able to analyze large datasets, synthesize key findings, and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Effective communication skills in English and the local office language, where applicable, are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include additional experience in building, managing, and maintaining database structures, working with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI, and familiarity with the Hadoop framework and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark. Experience in collaborative team environments, problem-solving skills, and relevant industry expertise are also advantageous. As a team member at Mastercard, you will be expected to adhere to the company's security policies and practices, maintain the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information, report any suspected security violations or breaches, and participate in periodic mandatory security trainings to ensure information security.
