Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Clinical Care

Provide outpatient and inpatient consultation for ENT-related conditions.
Assess, diagnose, and treat conditions of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.
Manage emergency ENT cases and attend on-call duties as scheduled.
Perform ENT procedures, including endoscopies, minor OT procedures, and OPD-based procedures.

Surgical Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced ENT surgeries.
Provide perioperative care and postoperative follow-up for surgical patients.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based surgical practices and infection control standards.

Patient Care & Safety

Ensure high-quality and patient-centered care.
Provide clear communication and counseling to patients and families.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records as per hospital policies.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and morbidity/mortality meetings.

Teamwork & Collaboration

Coordinate with audiology, speech therapy, radiology, anesthesia, and other departments for comprehensive patient care.
Guide junior doctors, residents, nurses, and support staff.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings when required.

Academic & Training Responsibilities

Attend CMEs, conferences, and internal training programs.
Participate in teaching activities for residents, interns, and nursing staff.
Contribute to departmental development and research activities.

Preferred candidate profile

MBBS with MS/DNB in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT).
Additional fellowship (e.g., Skull Base, Otology, Rhinology, Head & Neck) is an added advantage.
Valid medical registration.
1 to 3 years of post-PG experience (customizable as per requirement).
