Job Purpose
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and tech-savvy General Physician with 2 to 4 years of clinical experience to join our telehealth platform as a Teleconsultant. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care medical consultations to patients remotely. You will bridge the gap between traditional clinical practice and digital healthcare, ensuring patients receive accurate diagnoses, empathetic care, and seamless follow-ups from the comfort of their homes. Key Responsibilities

1. Remote Patient Consultations

• Conduct high-quality video, audio, and chat-based teleconsultations for primary care, acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and preventive health.
• Take detailed medical histories, review patient-reported symptoms, and evaluate past medical records via the telemedicine platform.
• Provide accurate diagnoses, formulate evidence-based treatment plans, and prescribe medications in strict accordance with tele-prescription guidelines and local medical regulations.

1. Clinical Excellence & Safety

• Maintain a high standard of clinical documentation by accurately updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) during or immediately after each consultation.
• Triage patients effectively, identifying red-flag symptoms that require immediate in-person emergency care or referral to specific super-specialists.
• Adhere strictly to clinical protocols, patient privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA/DISHA, depending on region), and telemedicine practice guidelines.

1. Patient Engagement & Continuity of Care

• Educate patients on their diagnoses, prescribed lifestyle modifications, proper medication dosage, and potential side effects.
• Conduct virtual follow-ups to monitor patient recovery, review lab reports, and titrate long-term medications for chronic conditions like hypertension or diabetes.
• Maintain an empathetic, professional, and reassuring digital bedside manner to build patient trust in a virtual environment.

1. Collaboration & Platform Improvement

• Coordinate with internal medical operations, customer support, and partner pharmacies/diagnostics to ensure a smooth, end-to-end patient experience.
• Participate in peer reviews, medical audits, and continuous medical education (CME) sessions organized by the platform.
• Provide constructive feedback to the product and tech teams to help optimize the clinician-facing telemedicine interface.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Education: MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution. A postgraduate degree or diploma in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Practice is a strong plus.
• License: Valid, active registration with the relevant Medical Council (e.g., National Medical Commission / State Medical Council).
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of active clinical experience working in a hospital OPD, ER, or private clinic. Prior experience with telemedicine platforms is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Digital Fluency: High comfort level with technology, including typing speed, navigating EHR/EMR software, and troubleshooting basic audio/video tools.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English [and other regional languages, e.g., Hindi/Kannada]. Ability to explain complex medical concepts in simple language.
• Clinical Judgment: Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to safely make clinical decisions without a physical examination.
• Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, active listening, and patience to manage diverse patient profiles virtually.
