Consultant Critical Care

As an intensivist in our hospital, your role involves ensuring the safety standards and standard practice guidelines are maintained in patient care. You will be responsible for teaching, training, and rostering medical staff for competent ICU staffing, especially during non-routine hours. Managing patients in high dependency units, supporting medical emergency, trauma, and CPR teams, and determining artificial airway management are key responsibilities. Your duties will also include performing invasive procedures outside the ICU, transferring care post-discharge to the primary consultant, conducting daily patient rounds, and participating in ICU design, maintenance, and equipment upgradation. You will be expected to suggest equipment, drugs, and consumables choices, maintain unit statistics, run audits, and quality assurance programmes. Additionally, you will be a member of various committees and play a role in policy formulation. Furthermore, you will supervise staff training, engage in research activities, follow ethical guidelines, advise on patient medication, monitor patient progress, refer patients to other specialties within the hospital, provide follow-up and counseling as necessary, and ensure adherence to medical ethics and regulations. Optimizing resource utilization, ensuring equipment functionality, and performing any other tasks assigned by the HOD/management are part of your responsibilities. **Qualifications Required:** - Education: DM Critical Care/ MD Anesthesia/ IDCCM - Experience: 5 years in Critical Care This is a full-time position that requires on-site work.,
