Job Title: Financial Controller Logistics Job Summary The Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations of the logistics division, ensuring robust financial planning, compliance, cost optimization, and strategic analysis to support business growth. This role requires strong expertise in logistics finance, budgeting, profitability analysis, and working capital management. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reviews for the logistics division. Analyse revenue trends, cost drivers, and operational KPIs to support business decisions. Prepare variance analysis and actionable insights for leadership. Accounting & Compliance Oversee end-to-end accounting processes including AP, AR, GL, and fixed assets. Ensure adherence to statutory norms (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act). Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits. Cost & Process Optimization Evaluate logistics costs: transportation, warehousing, line haul, last-mile, and manpower expenses. Implement cost control measures and improve profitability across operations. Review vendor contracts and credit terms for optimization. Cash Flow & Working Capital Monitor cash flow, collections, and credit management. Ensure timely billing, DSO reduction, and efficient working capital cycle. Business Partnership Collaborate with operations to prepare cost sheets, pricing models, and profitability analysis for new business. Support leadership in strategic initiatives, network planning, and expansion activities. Systems & Reporting Develop and automate dashboards/MIS reports for financial performance. Drive ERP utilisation and process standardisation across branches/warehouses. Key Skills & Competencies Strong financial acumen with deep understanding of logistics operations. Expertise in budgeting, MIS, costing, and compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines. Qualifications & Experience CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred. 8–16 years of experience, with at least 3+ years in logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry. Experience in multi-location operations is an added advantage.
