They are market leaders in India and compete with Global Companies Job Summary: The role of a Production Manager involves overseeing the manufacturing and production operations to ensure the efficient and timely production of products. This position is responsible for managing the production team, optimizing production processes, and ensuring product quality and on-time delivery. Following are some of your roles, responsibilities, and authorities associated with the position Key Result Areas: Quality – achieve zero defects in the products delivered to customers and <5% rework at inprocess level OTD Performance - Timely completion and delivering products as per contractual requirements. Production Volume - Responsible for overall fabrication designing of all AHUs, accessories and supporting structures if any based on the site requirements Cost Control – Focus on efficiency, effectiveness and waste reduction to keep manufacturing costs in control Shopfloor Management - effective workplace management as per 5S principles. Worker Empowerment – effectively managing workers and maintaining high morale Job Responsibilities: Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and order requirements. Coordinate with sales, inventory, and procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are available for production. Optimize production schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Production Supervision and Team Management: Lead and manage the production team, including supervisors, operators, and technicians. Set production goals and performance targets for the team. Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet the required quality standards. Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues promptly. Collaborate with the quality control team to conduct inspections and audits. Process Improvement and Optimization: Continuously analyze production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Implement lean manufacturing principles and process automation to enhance efficiency. Develop and implement process changes to reduce waste and improve productivity. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in the production area. Conduct safety audits and implement safety initiatives to create a safe working environment. Provide training on safety procedures and emergency protocols. Cost Management: Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize material costs. Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce production costs. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operation. Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and disruptions. Collaborate with maintenance teams to address equipment breakdowns promptly. Production Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present production reports, including output, efficiency, and performance metrics. Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on production analysis Educational Background: B Tech/ BE (or) Diploma – Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering with excellent CNC Sheet Metal Working, Welding, Painting/ Poweder Coating trouble shooting knowledge. Work Experience: 10 to 15 years of hard-core experience in Heavy Equipment, AHUs, Utility Equipment and others. Desired Competencies: Should be experienced in managing production operations and should be able to train and guide supervisors and operators Should be well-versed in reading drawings, CNC programming especially sheet metal working Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Attentive to detail and critically minded. The ability to stay abreast of advancements in technology and engineering design trends.
