- Our Company is building a next-generation design automation platform that redefines how buildings are designed, including data centres, residential, and industrial projects.
- Our platform enables developers, architects, and engineers to generate well-informed, buildable designs in minutes rather than months.
- We are looking for an expert MEP Engineer, by trade, with a strong interest in computational design, BIM technology, and software platforms.
- You'll work closely with the product leader and software team(s) to translate real-world building design requirements into algorithmic rules and workflows that power our system.
- This role offers the opportunity to push boundaries with technology, solving complex problems while building digital expertise and gaining exposure to AI, design automation, and software development.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Architects, Engineers, Software Developers) to develop and deliver digital products to meet customer requirements.
- Work with the product lead and customers to understand requirements for building services design, and ensure application objectives are achieved for the users.
- Perform complex electrical systems design, including LV/HV applications, load flow calculations, and equipment sizing for electrical components.
- Define rules, constraints, and heuristics for MEP system layouts and space planning.
- Create and develop working computational design prototypes.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design and validate algorithms that automate these processes.
- Bridge engineering know-how with computational frameworks (graph-based models, BIM data, generative design).
- Ensure outputs are realistic, code-compliant, and suitable for downstream design/delivery workflows.
- Contribute to roadmap evolution and bringing your industry insights into future product features across MEP, architectural, and structural domains.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least 5 years of Electrical Design experience in building projects (data centre, residential, and industrial buildings).
- Ideally have a background in design consultancy, with hands-on experience in cross-discipline coordination (MEP, architectural, structural).
- Experience in sustainability and energy efficiency in design.
- Solid understanding of BIM workflows (Revit, IFC standards, Dynamo, or similar).
- Ability to formalize engineering knowledge into rules, constraints, and logic.
- Familiarity with computational design, optimisation, or software development workflows.
- Curiosity and drive to shape the future of design automation platforms.
- Excellent communicator - able to collaborate with engineers, software developers, and product stakeholders.
- Experience with parametric/generative modelling, programming, or scripting (Dynamo/Rhino/Grasshopper etc.) is a plus.
