In this role, you will be responsible for developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated scripts for new and existing products. You will perform back-end testing, write defects on identified problems, report testing status to management, and provide support for end-to-end program testing in a development environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality web/software applications. Your contributions will include general test planning and execution for performance testing, as well as assisting in automation testing and load/stress testing. Key responsibilities will involve performing manual testing as needed, creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated regression scripts, conducting automated smoke testing after builds are installed in all environments, and providing manual testing for systems when required. You will be expected to perform hands-on testing independently and in a team environment, execute detailed test cases, participate in design and planning meetings, escalate any issues that may affect project deliverables, and provide clear status updates through verbal and written communications. Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field, along with 5-8 years of formal web/software requirements documentation and testing experience. You should have expertise in Agile testing, creating and maintaining documentation, accessing and manipulating database data using SQL, and conducting backend/API testing using tools like Visual Studio/SoapUI. Strong knowledge of Internet/web applications, problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently or in a team are essential. Requirements for this position include proficiency in Selenium with C#, web-based functional testing, cross-browser compatibility, and automated test scripting with Selenium. Experience in automating front-end and back-end testing, database validation using SQL, Agile testing, writing test cases for large-scale web platforms, executing automated test scripts, regression testing, defect management, and documenting project requirements is crucial. Preferred skills include automation test scripting with Selenium on Visual Studio code base. Other aspects of this role involve understanding common application/web security and OWASP vulnerabilities, encryption algorithms, compliance with PII, PCI, HIPPA, and GDPR regulations, identifying vulnerabilities in third-party components/libraries, and implementing security measures for data-in-transit and data-at-rest breaches.
