Compliance Financial Crime Data Analyst/ AML/ SQL Queries

As a Corporate Compliance member at FIS, you will be part of a dynamic team within the 2nd Line of Defence, focusing on promoting ethical business practices and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will play a key role in supporting FIS LOBs to stay compliant in a rapidly changing regulatory environment, assess control measures, and manage regulatory risks effectively. You will primarily be responsible for supporting in writing documentation related to data governance, developing and optimizing complex SQL queries, creating and maintaining data lineage documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, generating regular reporting on Financial Crimes Data Governance KPIs, and streamlining processes in the area of AML compliance. - Support in writing documentation such as data governance workflows, standards, guidelines, and operating procedures - Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of financial data - Create and maintain comprehensive data lineage documentation - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data quality standards - Generate regular reporting on Financial Crimes Data Governance KPIs - Assist in the design, testing, tuning, and implementation of major financial crime and sanctions projects - Provide regular reports and updates of team workload to BAU team management Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field like Computer Science or Statistics - Thorough understanding and experience with AML/BSA and OFAC laws and regulations - Proven experience as a Technology and Data analyst in the financial services industry - Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis skills - Experience with data governance practices and enterprise data management - Knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance, such as banking regulations or anti-money laundering (Note: Additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.),
