Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Team Lead / Cloud Architect to lead our Cloud Engineering team responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud platforms for IoT and RF Mesh network systems. The role involves defining cloud architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving end-to-end cloud platform design, ensuring that our solutions support large-scale device connectivity, data ingestion, analytics, and remote management. Key Responsibilities Define and own the architecture for cloud platforms supporting IoT and RF Mesh networks. Design for scalability, high availability, security, and fault tolerance across multi-region deployments. Select and implement cloud services, storage solutions, data pipelines, and microservices architectures. Ensure integration with device management systems, APIs, analytics, and operational dashboards. Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, DevOps specialists, and backend developers. Assign tasks, conduct design/code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Foster knowledge sharing, technical excellence, and innovation within the team. Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and release management. Collaborate with IoT, firmware, and QA teams to integrate cloud and device systems. Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks for platform reliability. Ensure data security, encryption, identity, and access management across all cloud components. Align cloud architecture with industry standards, regulatory compliance (ISO, GDPR, etc.), and best practices. Conduct periodic architecture reviews and audits to ensure scalability and maintainability. Work with product owners, field engineers, and system architects to align cloud capabilities with business goals. Provide technical guidance for new features, performance optimization, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to define SLAs, KPIs, and platform performance metrics. Required Skills Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field. 812 years of experience in cloud architecture, backend systems, or platform engineering, with at least 23 years in a leadership role. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services. Strong knowledge of microservices, serverless architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API design. Experience with IoT cloud platforms, data ingestion pipelines, and device management systems. Proficiency in programming / scripting languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js. Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, monitoring, and logging frameworks. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Good to Have Experience in large-scale IoT deployments, RF Mesh networks, or Smart Metering platforms. Knowledge of real-time data processing, MQTT/CoAP protocols, and cloud IoT standards. Familiarity with security frameworks, encryption, identity management, and regulatory compliance. Ability to balance strategic architecture planning with hands-on coding and mentoring.
