Color Retoucher

As a Color Retoucher, your role involves retouching and masking images with attention to direction and artistic integrity. You will be responsible for creating composite images using best practices to match layout and ensuring the final color accuracy of image content. Your key responsibilities include evaluating images for contrast, neutrality, and tones, inspecting for image artifacts, verifying color accuracy of products, and considering print requirements. Additionally, you will participate in spot-checking others' work, utilizing image and project tracking systems for timely task completion, and maintaining organization and file management. Furthermore, your role includes communicating with department leaders regarding assignment statuses, taking ownership of image content at the project level, and collaborating with creative teams to relay critical information. You will also participate in process improvement efforts and production meetings to enhance the creative impact on the business. In addition, you may be involved in training or assisting junior Color Retouchers and maintaining print sample dockets, Epson printers, and stock inventory for Epson machine accessories. Qualifications required for this role include professional experience using Photoshop and general knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, along with familiarity with print standards and color management environments. You should have an understanding of file types used in print and digital applications, practical experience in color theory principles, masking techniques, and creative experience in a packaging environment. Proficiency in Mac OS, as well as the use of Adobe InDesign or equivalent design applications, is preferred.
