Key Responsibilities: Perform Color Fastness testing, including washing, rubbing (dry/wet), perspiration, and light fastness. Measure and analyze Physical Parameters such as: GSM (fabric weight) Tensile and tear strength Seam slippage resistance Dimensional stability (shrinkage) Test for Formaldehyde Content in fabrics to ensure safety compliance. Conduct UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) testing to evaluate sun protection levels of textiles. Evaluate seam slippage and padding quality (Sim Sli Pad) in garments and other padded items. Maintain accurate records and testing data in compliance with company and international standards. Calibrate and maintain lab equipment according to schedule. Assist in root cause analysis for failed tests and contribute to corrective action plans. Communicate effectively with QA, production, and sourcing teams regarding test results and recommendations.
