The company is currently looking for a Neuroscience Research Specialist to spearhead research and development endeavors focused on optimizing brain functionality and cognitive performance. The role entails conducting comprehensive studies in Neuroscience, Neurology, Psychiatry, the HPA Axis, Neuroplasticity, Neuroimmunology, and Neuroendocrinology. The emphasis lies on generating evidence-based insights for holistic wellness solutions. The selected candidate will collaborate with the R&D team to conceptualize, test, and enhance neuroscience-driven wellness programs and workshops. Qualifications for this role include a solid foundation in Neuroscience and Neurology, along with exceptional analytical and research skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as well as the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in holistic wellness or neuroscience research would be advantageous. A Master's or PhD in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field is preferred for this position.,

The Department of Psychology, founded in 1974, is a leading research and teaching establishment, housed in its own buildings on the Heslington West Campus. The department has an academic staff body of 48 and is continuously growing, supported by technical and administrative staff along with an active community of graduate students and post-doctoral research fellows. Their research is internationally excellent, consistently ranked in the top ten Psychology Departments in the UK. The quality of their outputs is ranked 2nd in the UK, and their research environment is ranked as joint 1st. For teaching, the department consistently achieves outstanding NSS results (ranked 3rd overall for 2024/25). Staff morale is crucial to their successes, and equality, diversity, and inclusivity are central pillars of all Departmental activities, as reflected by their Gold Athena Swan Award renewed in 2025. The department has its own world-leading research facilities on-site, including neuroimaging facilities at the York Neuroimaging Centre, a stress laboratory, Smart Data Donation Service, infant testing facilities, virtual reality laboratory, sensory and perception laboratories, high-density EEG facilities, as well as partnerships at local and national levels. The department is seeking to appoint two Lecturers on Academic, Research, and Teaching contracts. They are looking for outstanding candidates who will conduct cutting-edge psychological research that complements and extends key strategic growth areas within the Department. These areas include cognitive, affective and social neuroscience, social psychology and intergroup relations, cross-cultural psychology, and media psychology. Candidates with research potential for societal impact are highly encouraged to apply. The selected candidates must also be able to contribute to teaching on BPS-accredited BSc and MSci Psychology programs and/or MSc programs, including project supervision in areas such as social psychology, mental health, and cognitive neuroscience. The ideal candidates should have a PhD in Psychology or equivalent experience, proven ability to contribute to high-quality research, experience in applying for and securing research funding, as well as experience in planning and delivering teaching, learning, and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of strategic need.
