As a Fashion Designer at Cocopia, you will play a key role in supporting the pre-production processes with creativity, precision, and market relevance. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing stunning women's clothing that embodies the brand's bohemian chic aesthetic. - Collaborating closely with product development and production teams to ensure cohesive designs that align with brand aesthetics. - Developing sketches, technical drawings, and design prototypes for upcoming collections. - Conducting market research to understand trends in the US market related to colors, fabrics, and styles. - Leading the sampling process to ensure designs meet quality and fit standards. - Overseeing fabric selection, sourcing, and sampling to meet design objectives and production standards. - Providing creative input during fitting sessions to ensure the final product aligns with design intent. - Ensuring accurate documentation throughout the pre-production process, including design specifications and fabric details. - Maintaining awareness of sustainable practices in the design and production process. Qualifications required for this role include: - Proven experience in designing apparel for the US market or similar markets. - Creativity and a passion for designing the perfect piece of clothing. - Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and trims. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively. - Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. - Knowledge of current fashion trends and technologies. - Genuine passion for sustainability. - Based in Jaipur, India, or able to commute regularly. - Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
