Job Title : Mechanical Design Engineer Sheet Metal & Product Development Location : Pune (Open to relocation) Experience : 2+ Years Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in 2D/3D modeling, sheet metal design, and new product development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools like Autodesk Inventor, Creo, SAP (PP), and 3DExperience Enovia, and a strong background in designing commercial and industrial equipment, including kitchen equipment and compressor systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings of components, assemblies, and complete systems using Autodesk Inventor and Creo. Work on CNG compressors, acoustic enclosures, piping systems, and canopy designs in industrial applications. Develop designs for commercial kitchen equipment (export and domestic) tailored to client specifications (e.g., McDonalds, KFC, Burger King). Conduct DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) analysis and cost optimization. Prepare BOMs, GA drawings, and manufacturing documentation using ERP systems like SAP and Absolute ERP. Perform piping and hose routing, apply GD&T, and create P&ID-based layouts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and sales for product development and continuous improvement. Manage design changes, revision control, and engineering data using PLM systems such as Enovia and Autodesk Vault. Support project management tasks including timeline planning, root cause analysis, and use of tools like JIRA Required Skills: 3D CAD Modeling & Drafting (Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Solid Edge, UGNX) Sheet Metal Design and Fabrication Understanding GD&T and ASME Drawing Standards ERP & PLM Tools: SAP (PP), Absolute ERP, 3DExperience Enovia, Autodesk Vault Costing & BOM Management MS Excel and Power BI (Certified) Project Management and Root Cause Analysis Educational Qualification : B.E. in Mechanical Engineering Certifications (Added Advantage): Microsoft Excel (Advanced) Microsoft Power BI Preferred Attributes: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks independently Willingness to work on-site or in customer-based projects
