CNC/VMC Setter

Department: Production / Manufacturing
Location: Chennai
Reports to: Plant Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup:
• Prepare CNC/VMC machines for operation by installing and aligning fixtures, tools, and materials.
• Load and verify CNC programs as per production requirements.
• Production Support:
• Ensure machines are operating at optimal efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed to maintain product specifications.
• Quality Assurance:
• Perform first-piece inspection and in-process checks using measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ensure components are produced as per quality standards and drawing specifications.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on machines.
• Report any mechanical issues or abnormalities to the maintenance team.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain proper records of setup sheets, inspection reports, and job cards.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures on the shop floor.

Requirements:

• Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or related field.
• Experience: 1–5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machine setting.
• Skills:
• Hands-on experience in CNC/VMC setting and minor programming.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with tools and gauges for inspection.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
