Job Summary

Himalaya International is seeking a skilled CNC Operator with hands-on experience in operating CNC wooden router machines. The role involves precision cutting, engraving, and shaping of wood and wood-based materials for signage, branding, and customized fabrication projects while maintaining quality, safety, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC wooden router machines for cutting, carving, engraving, and profiling.
• Read and interpret CAD/CAM drawings, layouts, and job specifications.
• Set up machines including tool selection, calibration, and job alignment.
• Perform basic program edits, offsets, and tool path adjustments as required.
• Ensure accuracy, finish quality, and dimensional consistency of output.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Optimize material usage to minimize waste.
• Follow production timelines and daily output targets.
• Maintain proper documentation of jobs completed.
• Adhere strictly to safety, quality, and factory SOPs.
• Coordinate with designers, supervisors, and production team for smooth execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating CNC wooden router machines.
• Knowledge of wood, MDF, plywood, ACP-backed wood, and laminates.
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, ArtCAM, Aspire, or similar).
• Ability to read technical drawings and job cards.
• Understanding of cutting tools, bits, feeds, and speeds.
• Strong attention to detail and quality finishing.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in signage, branding, or display fabrication industry.
• Knowledge of multi-head or vacuum bed CNC routers.
• Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Working Conditions
