Job Title: Assistant Production Engineer Department: Production & Operations Location: Murbad, Thane Dist Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head Job Purpose To support and coordinate production activities at the plant, assist in maintaining smooth manufacturing operations, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in daily production planning, process monitoring, and execution as per the project schedules. Coordinate with the engineering team for drawing interpretation and implementation on the shop floor. Supervise production line workers and ensure proper usage of tools and materials. Maintain documentation of production processes, inspection reports, and quality checks. Ensure compliance with safety protocols. Support in troubleshooting mechanical issues and assist in preventive maintenance activities. Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure product conformity and timely rectification of non-conformities. Provide inputs for process improvement and efficiency optimization. Qualifications and Skills Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. 0–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setup. Knowledge of welding processes (TIG, MIG, Arc), P&ID drawings, and pressure testing is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing standards like ASME, ISO, or relevant pressure vessel codes. Strong understanding of mechanical tools, production machines, and fabrication techniques. Proficient in MS Office and basic CAD tools (AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred).
