Clinical Care: Diagnose and manage a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, including medical and surgical disorders. Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery, retinal procedures, and oculoplastic interventions. Provide outpatient consultations and inpatient care. Interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., OCT, fluorescein angiography, visual fields). Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise junior doctors, optometrists, orthoptists, and nursing staff. Ensure high standards of clinical care and patient safety. Participate in clinical governance activities including audits, morbidity & mortality meetings, and case reviews. Training & Education: Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals. Organize and deliver CME (Continuing Medical Education) sessions. Research & Development: Participate in or lead clinical research activities and trials. Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences. Administrative Duties: Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and policies. Attend departmental meetings and engage in strategic planning.
