Cloud Engineering-Senior Software Engineer (SE 3)

Role Overview: Cond Nast, a prominent global publisher, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in AWS or Kubernetes to join the Cloud Platform team. As a part of this team, you will contribute to the development of self-service solutions and manage a global EKS platform utilized by numerous engineers to run thousands of applications, catering to hundreds of millions of consumers monthly. Key Responsibilities: - Providing a large-scale compute platform for global brand websites and facilitating the deployment of numerous applications - Offering advice on and reviewing application and infra architecture - Leading deployment workflows and strategies - Developing terraform modules for popular resources - Enhancing security and resilience - Creating a self-service platform for app engineers to operate efficiently and upskill rapidly as needed Qualifications Required: - Strong background in software development with experience leading projects - 8-11 years of extensive experience - Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, Go, NodeJS, Java, or similar - Experience in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, CDNs, and DevOps best practices - Deep understanding of software architecture and design - Interest in security best practices - Experience in building fault-tolerant systems or running applications at scale, particularly using AWS - Experience working with Kubernetes - Enjoy pairing with engineers of all skill levels - Good communication skills Cond Nast is a globally renowned media company with iconic brands like Vogue, Wired, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, GQ, and Cond Nast Traveller under its umbrella.
