Cloud DevOps / Cloud Backend Developer

As a Cloud Support Engineer at our IT Services & Consulting firm, your primary role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure backend systems and services for cloud-based applications. Your expertise in programming languages like Node.js, Python, Go, or Java will be crucial for automating infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. In addition to managing CI/CD pipelines for consistent delivery and workflow automation, you will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing system performance on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrating backend services with frontend applications and APIs. Your role will also include implementing cloud and code-level security best practices, managing Docker containers, orchestrating with Kubernetes, and documenting architecture, configurations, and operations. It is essential to support incident response and be available for on-call duties while staying updated with evolving cloud technologies. **Responsibilities:** - Designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Automating provisioning using tools like Terraform. - Implementing CI/CD processes with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc. - Developing backend services with Node.js, Python, Go, or Java. - Monitoring and securing systems for optimal performance and uptime. - Collaborating closely with Development and Operations teams to streamline deployments. - Troubleshooting and efficiently resolving production issues. **Required Skills and Experience:** - Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms. - Strong coding skills in Node.js, Python, Go, or Java. - Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools. - Familiarity with microservices architecture and REST APIs. - Proficient in Git and modern version control workflows.
