Job description Title: Cloud Crypto Architect Workplace type: Hybrid (3days WFO) Experience: 7+ years About the Role: We are seeking a highly specialized and experienced Cloud Crypto Architect to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing cryptographic solutions within cloud environments to ensure robust data protection and secure key management. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, define security policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Cryptographic Expertise: Apply an in-depth understanding of core cryptography concepts to design and implement secure solutions. Cloud Key Management: Utilize familiarity with Key Management standards and supported services offered by various cloud service providers (CSPs). Data Protection & Key Management: Expertly apply cryptography for data protection and implement secure key management strategies across diverse cloud environments. Key Exchange Mechanisms: Understand and implement key exchange mechanisms between Cloud Service Providers and their customers. Module Prototyping & Development: Prototype and build robust GitHub & Terraform Modules for: Key Management Systems (KMS) Keys Certificates Certificate Authorities (CA) Any cryptographic asset Policy & Compliance: Assist with the definition of Service Control Policies (SCPs) to enforce security postures. Assist with achieving and maintaining service certifications. Custom Application Development: Build and deploy custom applications specifically designed for data protection. Validation & Audit: Validate existing services, Terraform modules, and other cloud resources to ensure adherence to data protection requirements. Assist with auditing cryptographic implementations and security controls. Documentation & Playbooks: Create or improve existing documentation, including assisting with the generation of playbooks for cryptographic operations and security best practices. Required Skills & Experience: Strong Foundation in Cryptography: Good understanding of core cryptographic concepts, algorithms, and protocols. Cloud Security Expertise: Demonstrated understanding and experience in applying cryptography for data protection and secure key management in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Key Management Systems: Familiarity with Key Management standards and services provided by major cloud platforms. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in prototyping and building modules using Terraform and managing code with GitHub. Security Architecture: Ability to assist in defining Service Control Policies and understanding service certifications. Programming/Scripting: Experience in building and deploying custom applications for data protection (specific language not mentioned, but often Python, Go, or Java for security tools). Validation & Audit: Experience in validating cloud services and resources against security and data protection requirements. Documentation: Strong ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation, including playbooks. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex cryptographic and security challenges.
