Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Administrator to take ownership of both infrastructure management and cloud security across AWS and Azure environments. This role involves configuring, monitoring, and maintaining cloud resources including Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MySQL while also ensuring that security best practices are applied across identity, access, networking, and data layers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation, cloud governance, and secure architecture, and will play a key role in enforcing compliance, managing risk, and supporting secure, scalable operations across cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure to support scalable and secure data workloads.
Administer Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases, ensuring proper access controls, performance tuning, and cost efficiency .Design and manage secure IAM policies and role-based access controls across AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
Implement cloud-native security tools and services (AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender, GCP Security Command Center).
Develop and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and procedures.
Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis for cloud environments.
Automate cloud security controls using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
Monitor and respond to cloud security incidents. Monitor resource usage, optimize cost, and troubleshoot performance issues across environments.
Maintain infrastructure documentation, playbooks, and runbooks for transparency and reproducibility.
Collaborate with developers and DevOps to embed security in the SDLC.
Implement centralized logging and monitoring using AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and integrate with SIEM tools for real-time alerting and incident response.
Perform audits and ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).Support audit readiness by aligning infrastructure with CIS Benchmarks, NIST guidelines, and cloud provider best practices.
Evaluate and integrate security tools like WAFs, CASBs, SIEM, SAST/DAST tools.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with 2+ years in cloud security.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation.
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in cloud administration or engineering, with responsibility for both infrastructure and security.
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including compute, networking, IAM, and monitoring.
Experience managing Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL in cloud environments.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles.
Proficient in scripting/automation using Python
Experience supporting or aligning with compliance frameworks.
Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
