DESCRIPTION The HR Coordinator-India will provide assistance with general HR daily functions of the HR Talent & Culture including recruiting, initial screenings of staff, payroll processing, support for employee benefits, and leave, file maintenance, HR request audit support, as well as enforcing company policies and practices. REPORTS TO Director of HR Talent & Culture RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES Assists with recruitment screenings, coordination of interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Assist with new hire onboarding processes including but not limited to, new hire orientation and training coordination, and other HR onboarding related task as needed. Assist with routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs for the India office, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves. ​Document and maintain HR policy and employee guidelines for the India office in alignment with the US offices where applicable. Assist with India office employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintenance of HR company records and personnel files. May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed. Assist with payroll processing, generating and pulling various reports, oversight of maintaining personnel audit logs for the department for the India office. ​Maintain up to date and accurate procedures to ensure legal compliance with local employment regulations. ​Assist with supply ordering and office emergency aid inventory as needed. Provide front desk reception admin as needed (and during audits), including answering company lines, greeting visitors, and assigning badges and ensuring that each visitor signs in upon arrival and out upon departure. May assist with intake and distribution of mail and courier shipments. Performs other departmental activities as needed upon request. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 3-5 years of HR experience (within a CRO, health care, research or science environment would be helpful), or a combination of experience and educational background. HR certifications preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in payroll processing Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Able to work with multiple competing tasks. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
