Clinical Nurse Manager (OT)

The Clinical Nurse Manager (OT) position requires a candidate with a GNM/B.Sc (Nursing) qualification. As a Clinical Nurse Manager, your primary responsibilities include informing all nursing and technician staff about scheduled surgeries, conducting pre-operative checks of the OT to ensure the availability and functionality of medical equipment, instruments, and surgical sets. In case of any defects in machinery, you are required to promptly inform the biomedical department. Your duties also involve sterilizing patients using betadine post-induction, maintaining a ready emergency drug box/trolley, supervising strict sterility practices, cleaning the operative site with antibacterial solutions, draping patients with sheets while keeping the operation site exposed, washing equipment/instruments with solutions, and sending them for sterilization to the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). Additionally, you will be responsible for sending linen for laundry, preparing the OT for upcoming surgeries and emergencies, taking Addressograph details of patients prior to surgery, confirming the surgery site with the patient, doctor, and through file checking, reviewing medical reports and lab investigations, checking blood groups, and obtaining consent from patients and their relatives for the surgical procedure.
